Kingswood West Runton - Day 4
Thu 20 Sep 2018Good evening Underwood,
All is well here in West Runton. We've had another exciting day. Following breakfast, we all went down to the beach for the morning where we played beach games and searched the rock pools for marine life. We found a few crabs and some baby shrimps.
This afternoon's activities included abseiling, climbing, Jacob's Ladder and Go Karting. This evening we sang songs around the camp fire and then ended the day with marshmallows and hot chocolate.
Today's lunch was a choice of beef burger and potato wedges or pork stew wrap. For dinner we had a choice of hot dog or lamb meatballs followed by a pancake.
Everyone was fast asleep by 9.30pm tonight - they are all going to sleep well this weekend!
We have two activities in the morning followed by lunch before we get on the coach and return home.
Goodnight Underwood - we will see you soon!

Kingswood West Runton - Day 3
Wed 19 Sep 2018Good evening Underwood,
Another wonderful day in West Runton. The children woke up at 7.00am (some needed a gentle shake) and had another delicious breakfast. Dorm inspection was amazing with one room scoring full marks and another scoring nine and a half out of ten.
Today's activities included fencing, archery, aeroball, team tech and go-karts. This evening we had a movie night in the cinema before heading off to bed.
All of the children were well fed again, Lunch was chicken nuggets and chips or jacket potato with cheese and beans and dinner was roast beef with roast potatoes and vegetables followed by a chocolate pudding.
The children are now sleeping peacefully, re-charging their batteries for another exciting day tomorrow.
Goodnight Underwood!

Kingswood West Runton - Day 2
Tue 18 Sep 2018Good evening Underwood,
We've had a wonderful second day at Kingswood. The children woke at 7.00am after a very good sleep.
Breakfast included a choice of cereal followed by a Full English breakfast and then the activities began...
Today's activities included shelter building and fire lighting. We certainly have some budding Bear Grylls amongst us. The shelters were weather tight and some groups even created outdoor furniture to go with them - they obviously like their home comforts! Other activities included caving, fencing, laser quest and drum beat.
For lunch we had a choice of chicken wrap or sausage roll and for dinner it was curry or spaghetti bolognese followed by strawberry cheesecake.
This evening we took a night walk along the cliff and looked at the lights of Sheringham.
All of the children are now tucked up in bed and are fast asleep, ready for another action - packed day tomorrow.
Goodnight Underwood!

Kingswood West Runton - Day 1
Mon 17 Sep 2018Good evening Underwood,
We've all arrived safely after a four and a half hour journey (and nobody was travel sick!). The children have settled into their dorms and have made their own beds. After a tour of the centre, we had a lovely lasagne dinner followed by a brownie.
This evening we all took part in the obstacle challenge where we had to work as a team to overcome the various tasks. Then we worked in small groups to make water rockets which we tested on the playground. The best one reached about four metres in height (a long way to go before we join NASA!).
Everyone is having a shower now and will be soon fast asleep ready for an action-packed day tomorrow.
Goodnight Underwood. Sleep well!

The children told us what was special about their dads and sang some great songs. The dad’s quiz proved very competitive once again! A big thank you to the children and staff for organising the assembly.
