Mental Health
At our school, we believe that positive mental health and wellbeing are essential for children to feel happy, safe and ready to learn. Supporting the emotional wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do, helping children to build confidence, resilience and healthy relationships within our whole school community.
We are proud to offer a range of support for pupils who may need extra help with their emotional wellbeing, including ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), Lego Therapy, and Drawing and Talking sessions. These interventions provide children with safe and supportive opportunities to express themselves, develop social skills and build emotional understanding.
Our Senior Mental Health Lead is Ms Clare Thorne, who is also our Head Teacher and SENCO. We are committed to working closely with families and supporting all members of our school community.
If you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing or mental health, please come and speak to us in school — we are always here to help and support you.
