  • Football

    Thu 25 May 2023

Last week, the Y5/6 football team took part in the 'Plate final' as a result of finishing second in the league. It was a closely contested match with both sides giving it their all. At full time, it finished 1-1 and then Larkfields went on to win 4-2 in extra time. They represented the school brilliantly and they should be proud of what they have achieved across the year. Well done!

This week, the Y3/4 football team played their first ever football match together. They took part in a tournament against several other teams from the district. They played brilliantly and it went down to the last game to determine who went through to the finals. In the end, it was Larkfields (again!) that prevailed. However, the children were amazing and it will be interesting to see how they do when representing the school in the future. Well done

On Wednesday, some of our Year 2's had a fantastic afternoon at Florence Nightingale Academy when taking part in a football festival. They completed a series of skill based games that focussed on passing, dribbling and shooting before competing in 5-aside games. They thoroughly enjoyed it and their attitude was excellent.
