Chestnut Class visit East Midlands Airport
Tue 05 Jun 2018Chestnut Class had a wonderful time at the East Midlands Airport. They had a tour of the airport, made their own passport, tried on different costumes of the people who work there and they explored the different features of the airport in the amazing role play area. -
Toilet Twinning Cake Sale Success
Fri 25 May 2018Well done to the Year 5 girls who organised our cake sale in order to raise money for a much needed toilet in a Kenyan village. They aimed to raise £60 to build a toilet but the sale was such a great success that they have raised £180.67 - enough for three toilets! A big thank you to everyone who donated cakes and to everyone who bought one. -
Birch Class Assembly
Fri 11 May 2018Well done to Birch Class who performed a lovely assembly for their parents earlier this week based upon their animal topic. Their parents had to listen very well because there was a quiz at the end!

Scarecrow Festival Fun
Tue 01 May 2018A big thank you to Elm Class who designed and made the scarecrows for the village festival last weekend. The theme was movies so Elm Class decided to link it their historical topics and created a scene including Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, Howard Carter and a Mummy!

Keeping safe on the road

Our Basketball Team are Ashfield District Champions!

Egcellent Designs in our Dress the Egg competition
Thu 29 Mar 2018Well done to everyone who entered our Easter Egg Decoration competition. What an amazing range of creative designs! Mrs. Gordon, our head judge, had to really scratch her head to choose the winners and runners-up. -
Hinduism Day for Elm Class
Tue 27 Mar 2018As part of their R.E. topic, Elm Class took part in a Hinduism theme day. Sunita told them stories from the Hindu faith and showed them how to create Rangoli patterns. They also learnt how to dance Bollywood style! -
African Drumming with Hazel Class
Fri 23 Mar 2018Hazel Class had great fun taking part in an African Drumming workshop. The children learnt about traditional West African instruments, music and dance. They had an opportunity to play several types of drum and percussion instruments to different beats. At the end of the morning, they created a final class piece accompanied by African-inspired dance and song, which they performed to Ash Class.
