  • Kingswood - Day 3

    Wed 16 Sep 2015

    An update from sunny Wales...

We've had another wonderful day with lots of exciting activities. The children are all safe, well and happy though there were a lot of tired faces last night!

Today's activities included lazer zone, canoeing, bouldering, shelter building and frisbee golf. Lots of new experiences which the children have tackled with great confidence. It's the first time we've tried the canoeing and there were only two boats which capsized. We've discovered that Welsh water is just as wet as Underwood water!

Cooked breakfast today included bacon and egg. Lunch was pizza and chips and dinner tonight was roast beef/ roast ham.

Tonight the children will be singing around the campfire before dragging themselves off to bed for another long sleep.

  • Kingswood - Day 2

    Tue 15 Sep 2015

Another amazing day in Wales. All of the children are well and are having a fantastic time. Today's activities included Archery, Giant Zipwire, 3G Swing, Abseiling and Climbing. Everyone is having a go and the team spirit is great. The children are being well fed, starting the day with cereal and a cooked breakfast, followed by delicious hot meals at both lunchtime and at teatime.

We've ended this evening with team games in the gym and now the children are heading to their dorms for a lovely, long sleep. No doubt silent by ten o' clock tonight!

  • Kingswood- Day 1

    Mon 14 Sep 2015

Well, we are all here safe and well with 45 smiling children. The children are settled into their dorms and they have all encountered their first exciting activity - some groups have been caving and the other group has completed the Giant Zipwire. At the moment they are taking part in a quiz. Dinner was lovely with a choice of chicken pie, giant sausage and Spanish omelette followed by scrumptious ice-cream. Then we sang happy birthday to Lewis and Riley before sharing two very nice chocolate cakes. (Thank you to both parents!).

No doubt the children will be fast asleep by 10.00pm ready for an action-packed day tomorrow.

  • Year 6 Leavers Say Goodbye!

    Tue 21 Jul 2015
Our Year 6 children led a lovely Leavers' Service this afternoon. They read their favourite memories, sang songs, demonstrated what they learnt from the DARE programme and watched a video of their time spent at our school. They each received gifts from the school and church as well as a DVD of their Oscars party. We will be sad to see them leave and are proud of each and every one of them. Well done Year 6!
