Summer 2: Under the Sea
This term we have been exploring what roams beneath our seas and lives in the rock pools around our coast.
Our Christian Value this term is HUMILITY.
We were lucky enough to have a special visitor in Chestnut Class! Mr Millership is a keen diver who has travelled the world. He brought some of the equipment he uses on his adventures and showed us lots of photographs of what he has seen. We had the opportunity to ask him some
thoughtful questions and learnt so much about life under the sea!

We love following the children’s interests in Chestnut Class. The children found a sleepy bee in our outside classroom and wanted to help keep it safe. Together, we googled how to revive the bee and worked together to create a sugar mixture. The children spent an extended amount of time observing and talking with each other. This was a great opportunity for developing vocabulary and knowledge as well as showing care and compassion for the creatures that share our world. It even led to some wonderful writing!

Summer 1: People Who Help Us
This term we will be exploring the people who help us in our lives. We will answer the questions; Who keeps us safe? Who keeps us healthy? Who provides our food? Through our play based provision we will talk about these important people and find out about their roles.
Our Christian Value this term is DETERMINATION.
