At Underwood, each class elects two representatives to serve as School Councillors and Diversity Champions. The school council is led by Mr Ashton.

They work with the Senior Leadership Team on a variety of issues such as curriculum, enjoyment, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, playtimes, involvement in the community, fundraising and much more. They also work together to find solutions to problems that grown-up eyes might not see so well.

The School Council and Diversity Champions help to make Underwood Church of England Primary School the BEST it can be where all children feel a strong sense of belonging.
