Religious Education

The Subject Leader for Religious Education is Mrs. Evans
As a Church of England school, our main focus is on Christianity. However, we recognise the importance of the children learning from other major faiths and as the children move through the school they are given the opportunity to look more closely at other faiths. Our school uses the Nottinghamshire Agreed Syllabus 2015 as the basis of Religious Education curriculum.

This year the Foundation children have looked at lots of different festivals and taken part in lots of practical activities; making clay divas for Diwali, dressing up in traditional clothes for the Chinese New Year etc.

Year 1 have done some lovely work on India and have been learning about Buddhism. Have a look at their India display at the bottom of this page.

Key Stage 1 have done some lovely work on Noah’s Ark and the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashanah.

Have a look at some of the creative work Key Stage 2 have done on Judaism.
